...Strength for the Journey

Why We Give

Giving is a part of God's plan for Christ-Followers. 2 Corinthians 9:7 states "Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." In other words, part of being a Christian is giving to Christ's church. The Bible has a general guideline for giving based on 10% of your income. Tithing is simply giving the first tenth of all your income before taxes or anything else is taken out. When you tithe, you are making an investment into the Kingdom of God and saying to God “I trust you to supply everything in my life.” It teaches us to always put God first in our lives.

How We Give
  • Our main avenue of giving to Pitts Baptist Church is through the regular offering time during Sunday morning worship. This is an opportunity for you to give as an act of worship with your church family.
  • You may also want to give online
  • Your bank's bill pay system. If you give through your bank's bill pay system, it does not cost the church anything in fees, and everything you give goes directly to furthering the ministries here and around the world.
  • Most banks also offer a system to set up automatic gifts if you wish to do that.
  • Designated gifts can also be given through the opportunities stated above or by bringing by the church office.
Where Does the Money Go?

All contributions are used to fulfill the work and ministry of the Gospel through Pitts Baptist Church and beyond. The largest portion stays with our local church, but other portions go on to fund community missions in Cabarrus County, State Missions work, and US and International missions, and individual missionaries that we support. Click on the Missions button to see what ministries we support through your Missions giving.
In an effort to be financially responsible and transparent, Monthly Financial Statements are available at any time to Church Members.
